Adeline Dress Jeanskleid

On The Cutting Floor was searching for test sewers-thats how I came to sew this dress and shirt pattern. Due to the pattern construction, I immediately had a fabric association and bought a light denim print. I sent pattern and instructions to a copyshop names „preiswertplotten“ and got very fast a big printout. Very good service and a lot faster than pribting and glueing by myself for hours.

I decided to cut out size 12, the back side panels goto maximum width at the skirt part. I added about 2-3 inch length. Unfortunately the wrong side of the fabric could be seen when wearing with opened buttons at the top, so I cut out the fronts once more and added them at the inside. First I thougt about Snaps, but hadn’t enough in my stash-so I went buying more. I didn’t get the right size but matching normal buttons which look better to me and are less dangerous in self-opening. As my machine is doing perfect buttonholes, this was a good solution. I seamed it by turning under approximately 1 cm, then 6.

There was a fault in the pattern (thats why test sewing is made for, its corrected now but my example is „wrong“), this is the reason my arm pleat isn’t at the back but at the front of the sleeve. The instructions are ok with ambitioned sewers, I think a beginner will need more literature/help and will not be lucky with the description. The pattern is out now and can be purchased with 50% off using the code SPRING50 when buying the dress on Payhip.
